2nd Annual FIRE & Embers Book Awards for 2025 Is Now Open!

​We are excited to announce the second annual FIRE Book Awards honoring the best independently published titles carrying a 2025 copyright date. Also included is the Embers Book Awards featuring titles with a copyright date from 2020 to 2024. The FIRE & Embers Book Awards set themselves apart in the landscape of literary competitions with a dedication to help market and distribute all of the books entered. One of these innovative approaches is the Books on FIRE Podcast where we focus on interviews with the finalists in the competition. 

The Grand Prize Winner in the FIRE Book Award for 2025 will receive $1,500.

The Grand Prize for the Embers Book Award for 2020-2024 will be $250.

The finalists in all of the categories will be announced the first week in December with the over winners of both FIRE & Embers Awards will be announced the first week in January 2026. This strategic timing is to help the authors and publishers leverage as much exposure for their titles as possible during the critical holiday selling season.

2025 Deadlines and Entry Fees

Early Bird Submission Deadline — Postmarked by Midnight May 31, 2025
          Initial Entry — $65
          Up to 3 Additional Categories — $30 each

Final Submission Deadline — Postmarked by Midnight September 30, 2025
          Initial Entry — $75
          Up to 3 Additional Categories — $50 each​
